Radio 3 will be broadcasting a series of essays on Edward Lear to celebrate his bicentenary. They will go out the week beginning April 30th, from Monday to Friday, at 10.45 pm (and can be listened to again via iPlayer throughout the week). The essayists include myself, Matthew Bevis and Ralph Steadman, who has drawn a wonderful nonsense bird – the long-lashed, three-booted wheedle-nittle – for the occasion. I hope that some of your readers may be interested in tuning in.
all good wishes,
Sara Lodge
