    I was also left curious about this one, not least because of the script of the signature (though I may simply be unaware of similar inscriptions – have you seen such signatures?), but also because of the wash given to the clouds, the scarcity of pencil used, and frankly the absence of a vibrancy we have become used to in Lear’s work. I do like the depth of the image though.
