Edward Lear, Sigæum (30 September 1856, sunrise).

Sigeion or Sigæum (Latin) was an important site in the Troas (North-West Asia Minor, modern Turkey) at the mouth of the Hellespont, acquired by Athens in the late 7th century BCE.

Invaluable.
