Edward Lear’s “Sicilian Giro”

Giuliana Randazzo’s book contains a large collection of landscape pictures, often never before published, drawn by Edward Lear during his two Sicilian trips in 1842 and 1847.

As far as I can see it is only available from amazon.it.

  1. Ruth Musielak says:

Does the book consist mainly of images or text? I’m not sure I could manage an academic text in Italian, but I would love to see Sicilian images.

  2. I’d say it consists mainly of images, if Sicilian pictures is what you are looking for. The text is in Italian but it is far from academic: it reconstructs Lear’s tours.
