Inscribed in Greek ‘Ayios Nilos’ and inscribed and dated ‘Athos./ 7.Sept.1856.’ (lower right) and further inscribed with colour notes. Pencil, pen and brown ink and watercolour. 14 x 20 ¾ in. (35.6 x 52.7 cm.)
