Edward Lear, Cephalonia Near Asso
9 May 1862, numbered 145c. 24.5 x 17.5 cm.

The figure sitting under the rock might well be Lear himself, on that day he wrote in his diary that he was feeling very tired.

The picture was sold a few weeks ago on eBay.

    The above work,has never been sold on ebay.I m the owner and i bought it from Uk AUCTION HOUSE,LAURENCES.I aggre that the figure ,might be lear himself.
